Deadline: Rebel Wilson and The Deb Producers Ask to Move Their Defamation Trial to March 2027

A joint request

Rebel Wilson's defamation trial over The Deb is likely to be pushed back, Deadline reported. In an agreed filing on October 21, both sides asked Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Thomas Long to move the January 19, 2027 trial to March 22, 2027.

Why the delay

The request cites a medical leave for Wilson's lead attorney and would also shift December summary judgment hearings. The case pits Wilson against producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden.

Not yet final

A hearing on the request was set for Friday. Until Judge Long rules, the new date is a proposal, and the underlying claims remain unproven allegations.
