Hundreds of homeless die in extreme heat in Phoenix according to MCPH report

In 2021, at least 130 homeless people were among the 339 individuals who died from heat-associated causes in 2021, in Phoenix according to the Maricopa County Public Health Report.

With major heat waves expected to take place globally, experts expect mass casualties if preventive measures are not put in place.
