Severe storms charging across the Gulf Coast, leaving more than 417,000 homes without power. Tornadoes were reported in Florida, leading to the death of a woman in southern Houston County, Alabama, and a person in suburban Atlanta. The storm also caused significant damage in Florida, with roofs blown away, furniture tossed about, and power lines and trees downed.
