Raped Under Anesthesia: The Harrowing Account of Elegance Monroe Against Miami Plastic Surgeon Dr. Eric Raul Valladares

MIAMI — A graphic and horrifying account of sexual violence has emerged from the Miami cosmetic surgery industry, as a patient has come forward with detailed allegations of a brutal betrayal while incapacitated under anesthesia.

The victim, identified as Elegance Monroe, shared a multi-part testimony on TikTok detailing her experience with plastic surgeon Dr. Eric Raul Valladares at Vixen Plastic Surgery.

A Predatory Pre-Op

The incident allegedly took place in September 2025. Monroe, who traveled from North Florida for a routine 360 liposuction procedure, describes an unsettling environment that began before she even entered the operating room. She claims Valladares engaged her in a nearly two-hour "consultation" where he shared intimate personal details about his family and hobbies, a move she now views as a calculated attempt to make her feel comfortable.

The situation escalated when Valladares insisted Monroe remove her surgical undergarments, despite the fact that no surgery was being performed below the waist. Monroe testified that the surgeon then began marking her buttocks for incisions she had already explicitly declined during her initial consultation.

Evidence of a Violent Assault

Monroe’s account of her recovery is a forensic nightmare. She recalls waking from anesthesia in excruciating pain in both her vaginal area and her throat. She felt as though she had been "pushed off the top of a building".

Four hours after emerging from surgery, Monroe checked herself into Jackson Memorial Hospital, where a "rape kit" was performed by the Roxy Bolton Rape Center. According to Monroe, the forensic examination yielded physical evidence of a violent sexual encounter, including the discovery of semen in her cervix.

The physical trauma to her throat was so severe that it caused her airway to swell to the size of a "shoelace," and her uvula—the tissue at the back of the throat—was partially detached. The damage was permanent, requiring Monroe to undergo a second surgery to have her uvula removed less than 72 hours after her initial procedure.

The Surgeon and the Investigation

Dr. Eric Raul Valladares is a board-certified surgeon practicing at Vixen Plastic Surgery and Soluna MD in Miami. Monroe claims she has meticulously documented every interaction regarding the case, including emails and recorded phone calls with both the surgeon and detectives.

Despite the reported positive rape kit, Monroe alleges a massive failure within the Miami Police Department. She claims that detectives from the Special Victims Unit—whom she identified by name—misled her for seven months, instructing her not to hire an attorney or speak to others to avoid "impeding" the investigation. She further claims that police notified Valladares of the investigation within three days of her report, despite telling her they would keep it confidential to prevent him from fleeing the country.

A Call for Other Victims

The Miami Police Department has reportedly closed the investigation, leaving Monroe without a copy of her forensic file until at least the end of May 2026.

Now, Elegance Monroe is using her platform to bring awareness to the case and is pleading for any other women who may have experienced sexual trauma at Vixen Plastic Surgery to come forward. "The fact that you were bold enough to climb on top of me and not use protection while I was under anesthesia... lets me know that I'm not the first female that this has happened to," Monroe stated in her emotional plea for justice.

Do you believe that direct victim testimony like this is the only way to bypass a stalled justice system, or should there be more automatic administrative triggers for surgeons facing forensic evidence of assault?
